Ask for a financing application.

General informations

In this page you can apply for a financing  application  for either a mission or a conference.

Depending on whether the application is for a mission or a conference, it should be submitted between 2 and 3 months in advance, see the links below.

The funding applications will be examinated at the beginning of each month by the Steering Committee (SC). The SC will evaluate the quality and scientific content of the application, together with its relevance for the french-italian collaborations that the LYSM wants to favour, and the reasonableness of the financial plan. The decision will be taken after a vote of the SC.

The decisions of the SC are communicated to the applicants as soon as possible, usually in the second half of the month when the demand is examined. The successful applicant is requested either to insert the LYSM logo on the website and poster of the supported conference, or to acknowledge the "financial support of the LIA LYSM AMU CNRS ECM INdAM" in the scientific publications connected with the funded mission.

The International Associated Laboratory IAL  LYSM "Ypatia Laboratory of Mathematical Sciences" was created on January 1st 2017 by an agreement between the AMU (Aix-Marseille University), the CNRS (Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique),   the ECM (l’Ecole Centrale de Marseille), and  the INdAM  (l’Istituto Nazionale di Alta Matematica).

Its  task  is to support  scientific collaborations in Mathematics between the I2M, (Mathematical Institute of Marseille and l'INdAM and more generaly between France and Italy by supporting financialy missions and conferences.

All specialities in Mathematics are eligible under the constraint that it is a collaboration between at least one person working in France with at least one person  working in Italy.

For conferences a french-italian aspect  should be present.

Scientific collaborations between young researchers (PhD students, Post-Doct,Maîtres de Conférence, Chargés de Recherches, Ricercatori) will have priority.

Its goal is to facilitate scientific exchanges between France and Italy in all fields of mathematics, in particular:

  • Algebraic Geometry
  • Analysis
  • Complex Differential Geometry
  • Ergodic Theory & Dynamical systems
  • Logic
  • Mathematical Physics and Statistical
  • Mechanics
  • Non Commutative Geometry
  • Number theory
  • Probability Theory including Interacting
  • Particles Systems
